When you read through these, actually imagine yourself being stuck in that situation. It would totally suck. There is nothing cool about the following scenarios except for the fact that you may have to use some badass weapons. If only you had an Alien Blaster right? Seriously though, if you were to experience one of these situations, and survived, you would most likely be diagnosed with going crazy because they are absolutely scary!
Martial Law
This happens in all parts of the world and lately it has been taking place a lot more than ever. The post 9/11 world is all about security and it seems like law enforcement and the military can be a bigger threat to our rights than we previously thought. Local police departments are becoming more militarized so we have to be a lot more cautious about that. But law enforcement and military personnel are people too. So now we have to decide...on which side are we on? Or is it possible to remain neutral? We respect the social contract between citizen and government, including the 2nd Amendment...but maybe being on the NRA membership roster isn’t the best idea though eh?
Nuclear War
Some argue that the Cold War has never really been over. The threat has always been there regardless of what governments have said. At some point in the past there was a major push towards nuclear disarmament but regardless of those efforts, nuclear weapons are still being developed. There are even more countries now that have access to them. Let’s hope that one of these ruthless regimes don’t get too playful with a nuclear warhead. Can anyone say North Korea?
Artificial Intelligence
Remember the Terminator? This situation would definitely suck. The machines that once helped humanity reach a higher standard of living can eventually be the death of us. In addition to that, imagine Siri wanting to be your girlfriend? Scary. That didn’t stop Joaquin Phoenix in the movie “Her” though…then again it was Scarlett Johansson’s voice…
Zombie Apocalypse
Seeing a dead body can already be a traumatizing site…but seeing a dead body re-animate would be an incredibly horrific site! Many people now argue that this is totally in the realm of becoming a possible situation because of scientists messing with genes and viruses. The scientific community is also warning that bacteria are becoming more resistant to our current arsenal of antibiotics. Maybe we are slowly mutating into zombies…and one day, it is going to explode.
Alien Invasion
This is in our opinion a very scary scenario. Aside from the walking dead, unfriendly aliens is an extremely frightening thought. Think about it, these beings probably will look creepy to begin with and they would definitely have the ability to destroy us…easily. They would be so technologically advanced it would be almost impossible to match their power. That is unless they die on their own from some bacteria that humanity is immune to or water is like acid to them like in the movie Signs. The point is that we would rather not ever meet an alien unless it was a sexy shapeshifter.
So there you go folks. You have just read our list of 5 scary as hell SHTF scenarios that would be a total bummer if you were stuck in one. Let’s hope you never have to experience any of the above. But if you do, remember this list and don’t say you weren’t warned.
